Default Re: The Existence Of jesus.

Jesus never heard the name Jesus in his life. lol The one we call Jesus was actually called Yeheshua or Issa (peace be upon him) (in arabic). Your right darksandman that Jesus was made into a god. In fact, Paul was one of the first great missionaries of this lie. Documents that existed earlier than the supposed 'gospels' suggest Jesus (pbuh) was merely a Prophet and not a God at all. In fact, it is impossible for a man to be a God according to verses in the Torah. Like numbers 23:19, "God is not a man.....neither the son of man." The fact that Jesus (pbuh) was a man completely proves that he could not be divine. But Christians like to reduce God to a mere mystery to keep people in bondage to their doctrines and concepts which have root in paganism and not the religion of submission to God (Islam). I think a better question is, "Does the trinity exist." Again, according to the Torah the answer is a big NO. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord."-Deuteronomy 6:4. The trinity is clearly three persons not one.

Interesting, I never actually considered the validity of the trinity, it simply seemed as a type of council to me.

Three has always seemed an ideal number for a council, small enough to avoid most politics, and no way to be stalemated on any opinion.

I do think man can become a god, however once he has reached that point he can no longer relate to the average person on any level but the most primitive, because their perspectives of reality would be too diverse. So he can no longer be considered man except possibly in shape, as such a person could manifest in any shape they wanted.

I agree however that "Jesus" is/was not a god, his relationship with man as outlined in the bible, suggests a more direct connection to humanity then that. His story does however show's every major aspect of life, and if nothing else is a good place to start.
